• Complete site redesign (layout, content, graphics, back-office portal, SQL database).
• Project Highlights:
- Built an Online Ticket Ordering System to replace paper, mail-in ordering system.
- Since its inception in 2002, nearly $ 1,000,000 in orders have been processed through
this new website on an annual basis.
- Employed ASP, MS SQL, VBscript and JavaScript to dynamically build an Online Ticket Ordering System.

|
- Created a user/password secured administrative back-office web portal that includes the ability to:
- Manage orders (confirm, change and delete functionality).
- Run various reports that organize order data for administrative purposes.
- E-mail order confirmations to customers as administrative personnel process each order.
- Manage show dates, seating sections and event pricing.
- Manage "sold out" information. This information, in harmony with the event pricing data,
dynamically drives the pricing grid (as seen on the ordering page) while also preventing visitors
from ordering dates/sections that management has deemed to be "sold out".
PROJECT TWO: Online Event Ordering System
- ADMIN ABILITIES:
- Supports an SSL secured environment.
- Sell seats and/or inventory related to a particular event (e.g. two tickets to the event and 1 DVD of the presenter's video).
- Configure multiple events, in mutiple categories, while having a variety of items.
- Configure future events. The system will automatically enable/disable an event from appearing on the ordering page. Moreover, an event can be configured to appear (for example) today but not allow orders to be placed until a week later.
- Enable/disable individual items from being ordered for an event.
- Track inventory. Define the available inventory. The system will automatically mark an item as "Sold Out", based on the number of available vs. allocated units.
- Optionally configure a Maximum Quantity allowed, per order, of any particular item.
- Show/hide the Available Qty and/or Maximum Qty Per Order on the ordering page.
- Optionally configure price levels. An item can have 3 price levels (e.g. Member, Non-member or Student). Price Level labels are also configurable. Visitor indicates their qualified level during ordering and the system calculates totals accordingly.
- Configure which items are Taxable. Taxable State and Tax Percentage are also configurable.
- Configure which items incur a Service Charge and/or S&H Charge. These charges can be configured as "per item" or "per order" charges (e.g. "per item" charge is multiplied by the qty ordered, "per order" charges once for the item despite the qty ordered).
- Optionally configure Maximums per Entire Order for Service Charge and/or S&H Charge. Allows admin to define a ceiling/cap for these additional charges.
- The Event Ordering System can be invoked from any page and request that only a particular event or category be displayed. This can simplify the ordering process for the visitor by tailoring the ordering system to the visitor's interest. Additionally, the ordering system can be instructed to return to the referencing page immediately after items are selected (e.g. prevent immediate checkout).
- Optionally configure "More Info" hyperlinks for an event and/or item. The link can be configured to open in a window of specified size or full-screen.
- Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) govern the entire Event Ordering System and, therefore, colors and other asthetics can be easily changed to match client's theme.
- ADMIN BACK-OFFICE ABILITIES:
- Optionally restock inventory for orders marked as Cancelled or SoldOut.
- Optionally assign shipper Tracking Codes when confirming an order. System will then provide a direct link to that shipper's online tracking system (e.g. FedEx, UPS).
- VISITOR ABILITIES:
- Supports an SSL secured environment.
- Subset the event listing by Category (e.g. lecture events vs. hands-on classes).
- Arrange (sort) the listing by event description, category, begins-on date and ordering-permitted-on date.
- Retain order information while visitor continues to "shop". All items ordered, per any/all events, will be displayed during checkout.
- When configured, visitor can click "More Info" hyperlinks to receive more information about a particular event or item.
- Visitor is walked through the following steps: Select Items, Collect Customer Identification, Review Order, Collect Payment Information, Receipt.
